Happy Chinese New Year 2012

Tis the season to be eating! Let’s all drop the weighing scale, pick up that piece of tantalizing BAKKWA and drop it in your mouth right now.

Mandarin oranges – symbols of abundance and good fortune.

Not an advertisement for Polar Puffs & Cakes. Pineapple tarts – loving the crumbly tart more than the pineapple.

Lovely Bakkwa – often packed in red paper bags as the Chinese believe in the auspicious color of red.

I had a great Chinese New Year celebration in school as well. For a start, our skit on the Chinese traditions was a success.

And then there’s my fabulous group of friends. I remembered the last time I wore a cheongsam was very back then. Now I got to wear it again, it does seem pretty cool!
